| General and Mrs. John Hunt Morgan |

But our victories have not been achieved without loss. We have to mourn some brave and dear comrades. Their names will remain in our breasts, their fame outlives them. They died in defence of a good cause. They died like gallant soldiers--with their front to the foe.
Officers and men! Your conduct makes me proud to command you! Fight always as you fought yesterday, and you are invincible."
John Hunt Morgan, August 22, 1862
The 2nd KY Cavalry is a Confederate re-enactment group based in Southern/Central California. We are a dis-mounted and mounted contingent, under the leadership of Lt. Col. Scott Peca.
It is our effort that we portray and honor those who fought for what they believed in. Historically we portray units under the command of Gen. John Hunt Morgan who was known as the Thunderbolt of the Confederacy.
The 2d Kentucky Cavalry is experienced in all types of educational programs, living history events and film work. While re-enacting is our passion we also participate in Television, Film and Video work. We are a fully equipped and may be available for additional re-enactment or TV/Film/Video projects located throughout the Western States.
